Our dog was diagnosed with kidney problems, and we had to take him to the vet twice a day — in the morning and again in the evening — so they could drain urine. Each visit came with its own cost, and after just a few weeks the bills piled up to more than our monthly rent. Antonio’s last vet bill cost more than our rent. We love our pets, but sometimes caring for them is overwhelming.
